What can I say!

Not that we’d want to boast…
‘What can I say, my irritation at the postman knocking my door at 6am soon disappeared when I opened the package from An English Hand. As ever, fantastic service, stunning product, impeccable presentation, pure delight.’

It’s that Tweed Pig Again…

So nice to get a thank you letter. Children rarely write and even then it’s 4 u styl (sic)
Also considering the manly attributes of a bit of hand-woven rough old tweed from the Hebrides, our Minor looks rather fetching in a pearls and silk setting!
Young Mrs Tweed was thrilled (and lucky) to find one in her stocking at Christmas. I wonder who sent it? The colour is just too photogenic to ignore, so we’re giving it its own spot using photos taken by a thrilled young Mrs Tweed.
Can we say more?
The Tweed Pig Speaks

The Tweed Pig, that well known opinion-forming blog on all things British has chosen to write about An English Hand and we are very pleased to point (or should that be oink?) you in their direction.

Here’s a bit about the pig himself:
“The Tweed Pig is devoted to timeless British classics and to everything on the same wavelength, from style icons and personalities to fashion brands, from tailoring to chinaware, music to accessories.” Slowear
Dear Santa, here’s a hint.

Well somebody has the right idea…
He simply went online one evening, ordered what he wanted and had them delivered to the house. All she had to do was wrap them and put them under the Christmas tree. It was a curious experience, not least because one of the items was a tweed washbag. All those years agonising over what to get him, and all he ever wanted was a tweed washbag. But he was happy, which was what mattered.

Now the bankers and hedgies cannot afford not to wear a tie; now that the dire straits of (almost) every economy is easing even entrepreneurs back into suits, and techies out of their fit, er flip flops, perhaps there is room for the more stylish ones, the bolder, more confident ones to fight back with a top-pocket statement?
Obviously we can’t return to the flying pigs and humping hippos of the 80′s, although there are still those that do, maybe their eyesight’s going, anyway that does not mean we need to be over-cautious. When a beautiful if rather staid traditional madder print from Macclesfield is just a bit too golf-club-ish, and a simple spot is a bit too, well simple, we need to turn to the truly inspirational designs of Georgina von Etzdorf.
This is her Labyrinth print in uncharacteristically muted ivories and greys, you should see the bright ones….
